The date, 20th of March 2012 witnessed Dr. Sunil Kumar Gupta’s election as the Shareholders’ Director on the Board of Punjab National Bank for 3 years. During his tenure, he served the Board and the interests of Shareholders with absolute devotion and loyalty. Dr. Gupta has also served as Shareholders’ Director on the Board of Dena Bank for the period, 2009 to 2012. Along with advancing the interests of Stakeholders, Dr. Gupta was also an active member of distinct committees of the Board including Management Committee, Audit Committee, IMRC and Large Value Fraud Committee. This surely reflects his versatility and commitment.
As an Independent Non- Official Director (nominated by GOI) on the Board of General Insurance of India (2011 to 2014), he actively promoted sustainable growth. His services also embraced resourceful presence in the Audit Committee of the Board. The month of March in the year 2012 witnessed the Government of India nominating Dr. Gupta as an Independent Non-Official Director on the Board of Rural Electrification Corporation Limited; tenure ended on 15th March 2015.An addition to this list is his nomination as the Member-Steel Consumers’ Council by the Ministry of Steel and his services from December 2011 until December 2015, and re-election for a term from December 2019 to December 2021 as a member of FICCI National Executive Committee. Though responsibilities are numerous, Dr. Gupta is always motivated to deliver his best and justify his accountability.
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India also recognized his administrative attributes and appointed Dr. Gupta as the Founder Secretary of the Ghaziabad Chapter. Dr. Gupta’s bonding with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and his respect for the Institute encouraged him to serve the Ghaziabad branch as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary. Adding to his tasks, he rendered services as an elected member to the Central India Regional Council of the Institute.
